Sea Baby
Product descripton: Sea Baby by Security Service of Ukraine (SSU)
Sea Baby is a multipurpose unmanned surface vehicle (USV) developed for long-range maritime operations in contested environments. Initially designed as an explosive attack platform, it has evolved into a modular system capable of carrying various payloads and weapon configurations for different mission profiles.
Mobility & Range
The platform is built for extended operations, capable of covering distances exceeding 1,000–1,500 km. High-speed performance and reinforced propulsion systems allow it to operate effectively across large maritime areas.
Payload & Armament
Sea Baby supports a wide range of payload configurations:
- High-explosive warhead (up to 850 kg)
- Heavy payload capacity up to 2,000 kg (platform capability)
- Machine gun modules with automated targeting
- MLRS systems (e.g., 10-round Grad launcher)
- Thermobaric and specialized weapon systems
Design & Survivability
The low-profile hull (approx. 0.6 m above waterline) reduces detectability and increases survivability. The system is equipped with modern navigation and redundant communication solutions to ensure reliable operation in electronic warfare environments.
Operational Roles
The platform is designed for a wide spectrum of naval missions:
- Long-range strike operations against maritime and coastal targets
- Delivery of explosive payloads
- Fire support using onboard weapon systems
- Mining and denial operations
- Attacks on static and high-value infrastructure targets
