REMUS 620
Product descripton: REMUS 620 by Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII)
REMUS 620 is a second-generation medium-class unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) developed by HII Mission Technologies for long-range, multi-day autonomous undersea operations. Powered by the Odyssey™ cross-domain asset management suite, the platform combines extended endurance, modular open architecture, and collaborative autonomy for defense, survey, and intelligence missions. Designed for deployment from submarines, surface vessels, amphibious ships, unmanned boats, and helicopters, REMUS 620 can also serve as a host platform for launching additional unmanned systems and payloads.
A major milestone for the platform was the successful recovery of a second-generation REMUS 620 into a Virginia-class submarine torpedo tube, supporting the U.S. Navy’s autonomous undersea vehicle launch and recovery effort.
