Envoy AUV

A long-endurance autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) designed for persistent subsea surveillance, commercial surveys, infrastructure inspection, and defense operations.

Product descripton: Envoy AUV by Cellula Robotics

The Envoy AUV, previously known as the Solus-LR, is a long-endurance underwater vehicle powered by a fuel cell. It can remain submerged for months, traveling thousands of kilometers. Using a suction anchor, it secures itself to the seabed for covert, long-duration missions in challenging underwater environments. This enables persistent surveillance and data collection, making the Envoy AUV valuable for a wide range of underwater applications, from scientific research to national security.

Key Features

Size & Weight

Envoy is a compact and lightweight vehicle, measuring 8.5 meters in length and 1 meter in diameter, with a displacement of 3,700 kg. Smaller configurations are available to suit specific mission requirements, making it adaptable to various operational scenarios.

Power & Endurance

Envoy offers extended endurance and range, powered by a 1,200 W hydrogen fuel cell. This configuration enables a 2,000 km submerged range and a 15-day endurance. Battery-powered configurations are also available. Additionally, the endurance can be extended through the use of a suction anchor.

Payload & Depth

Envoy’s 500-liter flooded payload bay provides ample space for various sensors and instruments. With a 2,000-meter operating depth, Envoy can explore and survey a wide range of underwater environments, including deep-sea trenches and hydrothermal vents.

Performance Highlights

  • Powered by either rechargeable batteries or a hydrogen fuel cell.
  • Covers up to 2,000 line kilometers of survey.
  • Extended operational range and endurance for various missions.

Payload Options

Envoy includes geophysical sensors such as synthetic aperture sonar, multibeam echosounder, sub-bottom profiler, camera, laser, magnetometer, and environmental sensors.

Easy to Mobilize

The topside support equipment, including containers, LARS, and communications systems, uses industry-standard interfaces for easy mobilization and deployment.

Applications

Commercial Survey

The system is capable of geophysical and hydrographic commercial surveys, magnetometry, site and hazard characterization, and marine archaeological investigations.

Integrity Management

The system is capable of comprehensive pipeline and cable survey and inspection, including route surveys, integrity assessments, and anomaly detection.

Payload Deployment

The payload system can deploy drop nodes, LBL beacons, smaller AUVs, and other specialized equipment to enhance data collection and mission capabilities.

Defence Applications

The system supports various applications, including seabed warfare, MCM, REA, IPoE, persistent surveillance/ISR, and CUI inspection, enhancing maritime security.

Optional: Available to naval customers only, subject to export restrictions.
