RQ-4 Global Hawk

High-Altitude Long-Endurance UAS for Persistent Strategic ISR

Product descripton: RQ-4 Global Hawk by Northrop Grumman Corporation

The RQ-4 Global Hawk is a high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aircraft system developed by Northrop Grumman to provide persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) across large geographic areas. Designed for strategic operations, the platform delivers near-real-time, high-resolution imagery in all weather conditions, day or night.

Capable of remaining airborne for more than 30 hours, Global Hawk enables continuous monitoring of areas of interest while carrying multiple sensor payloads simultaneously. In addition to ISR missions, portions of the fleet have supported communications relay, including the EQ-4B variant equipped with the Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) payload.

Since entering U.S. Air Force service in 2001, Global Hawk has accumulated over 320,000 flight hours in operations across Iraq, Afghanistan, North Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. Beyond military applications, the platform supports border security, maritime surveillance, disaster response, search and rescue, and atmospheric and weather monitoring.
