SHADOWFAX UAS SF30 is a small, extreme-endurance Group 3 VTOL fixed-wing hybrid tactical UAV designed for long-range missions in harsh and contested environments. It combines vertical takeoff and landing with efficient fixed-wing flight, enabling autonomous operations without runways or external launch equipment.
The VTOL capability allows the SF30 to take off and land anywhere, including confined areas, moving platforms, and adverse weather conditions. Despite its wingspan of over 4 meters, the aircraft packs into a compact transport case just 1.7 meters long and can be operated by a two-person crew.
A 40-liter modular payload bay supports multiple payloads and a wide range of high-quality sensors. The patent-pending Gravi-shift™ system enables in-field payload changes and supports large asymmetrically mounted payloads while preserving flight endurance.
The SF30 supports a wide range of communications systems, including SATCOM, cellular links, and encrypted MIMO radios, providing secure data links and extended operational reach. A quick-swap internal combustion propulsion unit simplifies maintenance and improves platform availability.
The system is ITAR-free, enabling simplified export to most countries.
