The Skydio X2 ushers in a new era of AI-powered drone autonomy, building on the proven capabilities of Skydio 2 with enhancements tailored for enterprise, public safety, and defense applications. At its core, Skydio X2 features Skydio Autonomy, a computer vision-based flight engine that understands the drone’s surroundings in real-time, allowing it to avoid obstacles, map environments in 3D, and follow complex objects automatically.

Skydio X2 transforms any operator into a skilled pilot, allowing users to focus on mission objectives rather than manual control. Its rugged, foldable airframe houses six 4K navigation cameras for complete 360° obstacle awareness, paired with a dual sensor payload including a 12MP visual camera and a 320×256 FLIR thermal sensor for superior situational intelligence.

The X2 is available in two configurations:

• X2D – Designed for the U.S. Army and defense missions, optimized for short-range reconnaissance, search & rescue, and security patrols, with long-range 1.8 GHz radio connectivity up to 10 km and fully offline operation for secure environments.

• X2E – Tailored for enterprise, first responders, and civilian agencies, ideal for infrastructure inspection and situational awareness, with commercial-band radio providing up to 6 km of wireless range.

Equipped with an enterprise-grade controller featuring a large touchscreen, rugged design, and external antennas, X2 ensures extended wireless connectivity while remaining intuitive to operate, even with gloves. Security is prioritized with end-to-end encryption, signed firmware, and burned-in keys, giving users full control over data and drone operation.
