Design
Full UAVCAN Integration
UAVCAN is a protocol providing a highly reliable communication application via the CAN bus. This makes communication within drones more resistant to interference. Ground crew can obtain more data from the drone in less time, providing more accurate aircraft control. The increased data flow allows reception of information on critical drone systems. Consequently, the operator receives real-time feedback on servos, pitot tubes, rotors, etc., enabling an adequate response to potential operational errors.
Custom Fully Redundant Carrier Board with Integrated Power Supply
The ElevonX Carrier Board integrates the autopilot and all other electronics on a single secure circuit board. The power supply unit is double redundant for emergency situations.
Cable Harnesses
High-quality in-house harnesses are customized to meet any specification. Wiring is secured against vibrations, abrasion, and moisture.
Integrated Navigation Lights (Optional)
Designed for visual detection in various weather conditions. Lights can be deactivated for stealth missions.
Composites
Structurally Optimized Hull
The monocoque hull is made in one piece, providing a structurally stronger body. Single-piece curing ensures mechanical and chemical strength, unlike two-piece constructions which create weak joints.
Prepreg (Pre-Impregnated) Composite Technology
Prepreg material combines fabric and uncured resin in a precise ratio, ensuring consistent properties like Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) and Modulus. This mitigates variability found in traditional hand layups.
Optimization in Composites
Using prepregs ensures the lightest, most consistent components. Detailed prepreg data allows accurate weight estimates before cutting. Wet layups or infusion methods cannot guarantee consistent weight or properties.
