Stella X8 Multirotor UAV
Product descripton: Stella X8 Multirotor UAV by HD Air Studio
Stella X8 is a next-generation, patent-pending coaxial multirotor platform developed and manufactured in Poland by HD Air Studio. Compared to earlier HD Air Studio designs, Stella is lighter while offering significantly increased structural rigidity thanks to its innovative airframe architecture. The platform is designed for professional applications and is available as an empty frame kit, ARTF, or fully customized RTF configuration.
Airframe and Structural Design
Stella features a non-foldable but compact frame, making it easy to transport despite its rigid construction. The central body provides ample internal space with unobstructed access to components, simplifying installation, maintenance, and upgrades. The arms are a key structural element, engineered to deliver maximum stiffness while improving airflow efficiency for the propulsion system.
ESC placement ensures optimal cooling, while a foldable GPS mast reduces transport volume. Strong LED lights mounted on the arm tips enhance visibility even in bright daylight conditions.
Payload Integration and Vibration Control
A built-in anti-vibration system integrated into the center body allows direct installation of stabilized gimbals and sensitive sensors. Optional quick-release payload mounts further streamline payload installation. The payload bay provides generous vertical clearance, supporting professional imaging and sensor systems without compromising stability.
Power, Batteries, and Landing Gear
Batteries are mounted on a dedicated top plate using straps, allowing fast and convenient battery swaps. The landing gear is fixed with quick-release connectors and can be detached for transport. Retractable landing gear is planned for future versions. Multiple regulated power outputs are available to supply external devices and payloads.
Avionics Compatibility and Configurations
Stella is compatible with multiple professional autopilot systems, including Pixhawk 2.1, DJI A3, DJI A3 PRO, and DJI N3. The platform has been tested with all supported controllers and delivers stable flight performance across configurations.
The platform is offered in several configurations:
-
Empty frame kit for custom builds
-
ARTF with propulsion, power system, and electronics installed
-
RTF (on request) with full accessories, payloads, and ground equipment
Customization options are available to meet specific mission requirements.
