WAM-V® 16
Product descripton: WAM-V® 16 by Ocean Power Technologies (OPT)
The WAM-V® 16 USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicle) is a next-generation autonomous watercraft designed for marine data collection. It provides a stable survey platform through its articulating suspension system and compliant hulls, which minimize payload movement and improve data accuracy in challenging sea conditions.
The platform is ideally suited for small- to medium-sized marine survey projects, operating either as a standalone survey vessel or as a force multiplier alongside crewed or autonomous platforms. Its lightweight construction and shallow draft enable operations across a wide range of environments, from open ocean to coastal and shoaling waters.
Designed for rapid deployment, the WAM-V® 16 can be assembled and launched by two operators from shore, vessel decks, or trailers, providing flexible and efficient mission support.
