ZPX-1 IFF Mode 5 Transponder / Receiver
Product descripton: ZPX-1 IFF Mode 5 Transponder / Receiver by uAvionix Corporation
The RT-2087/ZPX-1 is a compact, low-SWaP Combat ID system that meets IFF Transponder and ADS-B requirements for UAS in both military and civilian airspace.
When paired with a micro-crypto like the KIV-79, even Group 2 and larger UAS gain access to NATO-standard IFF encryption. AIMS-certified, the ZPX-1 also enables upgrades such as Mode S Enhanced Surveillance, ADS-B IN, and Mode 5 Level 2/2-B receive capability to support Detect and Avoid functionality—all while maintaining a minimal SWaP footprint ideal for small uncrewed platforms.
Primary Features
Optimized for Efficiency
Designed for high-performance UAS missions, the ZPX-1 delivers a balance of military-grade functionality and a compact footprint, making it suitable for Group 2 and larger UAS platforms as well as long-endurance operations.
Mission-Ready, Simplified
All ZPX systems are compatible with crypto-appliqué and compliant with civil airspace requirements via Mode S / 1090ES ADS-B transponders, streamlining aircraft configurations and deployment.
AIMS Certified for Secure Airspace
The ZPX-1 meets AIMS Mk XIIB and DoD AIMS 17-1000B standards, providing trusted Mode 5 Level 1/2 and Level 2 Broadcast IFF capabilities for secure military airspace operations.
