NORDIC AIR DEFENCE overview
Nordic Air Defence (NAD) is a European defence technology company developing sovereign, software-defined air defence systems for the era of autonomous warfare. The company focuses on delivering scalable, cost-effective counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) by combining rapid product iteration, software-defined architecture and vertically integrated technology development.
Founded by a multidisciplinary team of defence engineers, former technology founders, policymakers and military personnel, NAD brings together expertise in unmanned systems deployment, operational military service, defence procurement and national security policy. This experience enables the company to rapidly translate battlefield requirements into deployable air defence solutions.
NAD’s first product, the Kreuger 100™, is a kinetic C-UAS interceptor built on the Kreuger platform and designed to counter the growing threat of low-cost autonomous drones. The company has already demonstrated successful kinetic target engagements and maintains continuous live testing and evaluation programs with defence forces and strategic partners, enabling rapid feedback-driven development cycles.
Beyond individual products, Nordic Air Defence is building a vertically integrated European air defence ecosystem through proprietary technology development, software-defined infrastructure and the selective acquisition of critical capabilities across the air defence stack. Its long-term strategy supports Europe’s efforts to strengthen sovereign defence capabilities while reducing dependence on fragmented foreign supply chains.
Driven by the belief that speed is the new deterrence, Nordic Air Defence aims to redefine modern air defence through autonomy, scalable manufacturing and rapid innovation.
