Mangust (Mongoose)
Product descripton: Mangust (Mongoose) by Technary
Mangust (Mongoose) is a reusable jet-powered interceptor drone developed by the Odesa-based engineering bureau Technary to counter loitering munitions, specifically Iranian-designed Shahed drones used by Russian forces. Unlike disposable kamikaze UAVs, Mangust (Mongoose) is designed for multiple missions, combining high-speed pursuit, autonomous targeting, and non-explosive engagement.
Equipped with a jet engine and an automatic thermal homing system, Mangust (Mongoose) autonomously locks onto aerial threats and neutralizes them with a multi-barrel shotgun, aiming at vulnerable components like the engine or propeller. After each intercept, it can either continue pursuing new targets or return to base for refueling and reloading. Each unit is designed for up to 10–12 successful missions, significantly reducing the logistical and financial burden compared to one-use interceptors.
